Hi,
My theme was rejected because:
The WP theme has a good start but, we have high standards and we're trying to make sure our WP themes are very premium themes. You will need to make some additional improvements in overall aesthetics such as graphics, layout, colors, etc. In regards to the aesthetic quality there needs to be more attention to detail and improvements should be made accordingly. We want the theme to simply seem like a premium theme the second you see it. Based off of the design it doesn't match up quite yet. Here you can see screenshoots: http://img192.imageshack.us/im.....hotrkn.png http://img146.imageshack.us/im.....hot2ud.png Could you tell me what exactly should be improved? Thanks
11/23/2010 at 4:27 am #1012882Try to improve spacing. Some top- and bottom-padding in these sidebar boxes would make it look better. Also try to adjust the line-height for the text.

AnonymousI hate to critique other people’s work but I’ll give it a shot just don’t take it personally but I’ll try to help but this is my opinion and taste so it may not be such a great help after all:

Nice effect on the text but only any good if you do it with CSS gradients since images for nav are very old skool. A block of text under an image isn’t really going to make someone buy the theme, be a little more creative, maybe have a look around (rec’d SmashingMagazine) for inspiration. Red icons, no.
Overall, I love originality, that’s my thing and kudos to you for giving it a go and for the idea you had.

Obviously same as above but also the content text needs more line height and the contact form’s inputs are very small.
Here’s a tip: Stand about 6 feet away from your design and look at the floor, now quickly look up and see your design on your monitor for about 8 seconds, now look away again. By doing this you not only ‘browse’ your design for the average amount of time visitors do but you’ll also see errors like contrast errors, hierarchy errors, font size errors, etc.
Hope this helps.
